Hastelloy can survive in harsh environments (high temperatures and harsh environments) even when exposed to corrosive surroundings; that is what makes it considered a high-performance alloy. It has been used in nuclear and chemical reactors, valves, and pipes in the chemical industries as it is a strong material with corrosion resistance. Common Hastelloy in fasteners is C276, B, C-4, G, C-2000, X, and C22.
